Your recipe for homemade gelatin snacks to support bones and joints

Nowadays, we hardly have any quality gelatin in our daily diet. While everyone can benefit from taking quality gelatin, it's especially helpful for kids or teenagers going through a growth spurts. Similarly, how are your joints doing? Do they need some extra protection and repair? Are you hoping to build strong bones, hair, and nails? These homemade gelatin snacks are for you!

What you need

  • 2 cups of unsweetened fruit juice or fruit puree

  • 2 tablespoons of beef or porcine gelatin (we recommend the orange label Great Lakes brand)

  • 1-2 tablespoons of raw honey

Directions

Whisk the fruit juice/puree and the gelatin together in a medium sized saucepan. Let it sit for five minutes. Turn on the stove to a medium heat and place the saucepan on the burner.

Stir until heated through and the gelatin is all the way dissolved. Do not bring to a boil. Once the gelatin is completely dissolved, turn off the heat and add the honey. Stir until well mixed.

Pour into an 8x8 pan. Cover and refrigerate until it sets.

Now you're ready to cut your gelatin snacks into squares and enjoy! Store your leftovers in the fridge.
